Description
The Tadpole Galaxy, cataloged as UGC 10214, carries a long trail of stars and gas created by a close encounter with another galaxy. The distorted spiral and sweeping tail record the gravitational forces reshaping the system.
Hubble’s Advanced Camera for Surveys also reveals numerous distant galaxies across the background, turning the field into a layered view of the universe at many distances.
Produced from ESA/Hubble’s official 4,360 × 3,798 master, every offered square paper and framed-and-matted size through 12 inches remains above 300 PPI. No stretched-canvas option is included at this resolution.
