Blue Marble Earth presents our planet in remarkable clarity, with North America, deep blue oceans, cloud systems, and the curvature of the atmosphere forming a vivid global portrait.
The montage was created from observations collected by the VIIRS instrument aboard the Suomi NPP satellite during four orbits in January 2012. The result joins scientific Earth observation with the visual impact of a modern planetary icon.
Produced from NASA’s official 8,000 × 8,000 PIA18033 master, every available square paper, framed-and-matted, and stretched-canvas size remains above 300 PPI.
