Description

A New View of the Moon records Earth setting over the curved lunar limb as the Artemis II crew traveled around the Moon’s far side. The distant planet and broad lunar landscape share the frame, joining a fleeting mission moment with a detailed geological panorama.

Orientale basin sits near the visible edge, while Hertzsprung appears as two subtle concentric rings interrupted by the younger Vavilov crater. Secondary crater chains sweep across the surface, formed by ejecta from the massive impact that created Orientale.

Produced from NASA’s official 5,568 × 3,712 original, the paper and framed presentations preserve the native 3:2 composition. The 16 × 12-inch stretched canvas uses a restrained centered crop, and every available option remains above Space Art Studio’s 300-PPI quality standard.
