Description
IC 348 is a young star cluster in the Perseus molecular cloud. Webb’s NIRCam view reveals wispy interstellar material crossing a field of stars and faint objects, including very low-mass brown dwarfs studied within the cluster.
The image’s restrained pink-purple filaments and bright stellar points create a delicate portrait of a region where stars and substellar objects are still young.
Produced from the official 3,788 × 5,077 master, the selected paper, framed-and-matted, and 12 × 16-inch stretched-canvas formats remain above 300 PPI.
