Description

The Veil Nebula is part of the Cygnus Loop, a vast supernova remnant created when a massive star exploded roughly 10,000 years ago. Hubble resolves delicate, ribbon-like shock fronts moving through the surrounding interstellar gas.

Color maps different elements and temperatures across the expanding debris, turning a violent stellar ending into a finely structured landscape of light.

Produced from ESA/Hubble’s official 10,681 × 7,121 master, every offered paper, framed-and-matted, and stretched-canvas size preserves a natural 3:2 presentation and exceeds 300 PPI.
