Description

Messier 16, the Eagle Nebula contains one of astronomy’s most recognizable star-forming regions: the Pillars of Creation. Webb’s NIRCam peers through layers of dust to reveal a dense field of stars and intricate structures along the pillars’ edges.

Freshly formed stars appear as brilliant points of light, while glowing red features mark energetic material ejected by young stars. The tall composition follows the pillars from their massive bases to their sculpted tips.

Produced from the official 8,423 × 14,589 NIRCam master, every offered paper, framed-and-matted, and stretched-canvas size remains above 300 PPI with a restrained centered 2:3 crop.
