Description

The Edge of Two Worlds captures Earth drawing close to the lunar horizon about six minutes before Earthset during the Artemis II flyby. The distant planet appears in crescent phase above the Moon’s sharply detailed foreground.

Clouds swirl over the Australia and Oceania region on Earth’s illuminated side while the rest of the planet recedes into night. Below, chains of small lunar craters trace the paths of material thrown outward by ancient impacts, creating a striking contrast between living atmosphere and airless terrain.

Produced from NASA’s official 5,568 × 3,712 original, the paper and framed presentations preserve the native 3:2 composition. The 16 × 12-inch stretched canvas uses a restrained centered crop, and every available option remains above Space Art Studio’s 300-PPI quality standard.
