Description

NGC 5468 is a face-on spiral galaxy about 130 million light-years from Earth. Its orientation gives astronomers an unusually clear view of the galaxy’s winding arms, dust lanes, and stellar populations.

This composite brings together Hubble’s visible-light detail and Webb’s infrared sensitivity. The galaxy has hosted several observed supernovae and contributes to research that refines measurements of the universe’s expansion.

Produced from NASA’s official 3,214 × 3,233 master, this artwork is limited to square paper and framed-and-matted sizes no larger than 10 inches so every choice remains at or above 300 PPI.
