The Pillars of Creation rise within the Eagle Nebula, a vast star-forming region also cataloged as Messier 16. This composite combines Webb’s near- and mid-infrared observations, revealing both newly formed stars and the dense dust that shapes the pillars.
Warm browns, purples, and luminous points of light trace a landscape where radiation from young stars sculpts the surrounding material. The combined view balances the transparency of NIRCam with MIRI’s sensitivity to cooler dust.
Produced from the official 7,130 × 6,675 composite, every offered square paper, framed-and-matted, and stretched-canvas size remains above 300 PPI with a modest centered crop.
